Upon arrival at the international airport of Mangua you will be transferred to the city for a city tour. During the tour you will visit the most outstanding buildings such as the Ruben Dario theatre.
Breakfast. The greatness of its lake Cocibolca (or Nicaragua Lake) will delight us with a trip by boat around its 356 small islands that owns natural canals to enjoy its marvellous beauty. After the boat ride we will in a carriage ( horse-drawn) towards the pier for a boat ride along the Lake of Nicaragua. We continue our tour of Granada, distinguished by a Colonial architecture that will take us back to the eighteenth century. Narrow streets with horse-drawn carriages will allow our minds to create a concrete idea of the customs of the epoch of the Spanish occupation. The Church and Archaeological museum of the Convent of San Francisco, the Cathedral, Church and Xalteva square, Church “La Merced”, church of Guadalupe, the fortress “La Pólvora”, among other colonial buildings, are just a part of the architectonical beauty displayed in this city.
Breakfast. We will go to the port of San Jorge to take the Ferry that will take us to Ometepe Island. I arrive at the Island and complete tour by this religious sanctuary of our indigenous, visit at the Museum and towns of Altagracia, Moyogalpa and Hacienda Magdalena. Overnight.
Breakfast,. Return by boat to San Jorge. We will visit the municipality of Catarina, which owns one of the biggest lagoons of the country and one of the most beautiful panoramic views of this land where we will have lunch. We will continue to the National Park Masaya’s Volcano with its fifty-four square kilometres of extension. This is the most spectacular volcano of the country. We will visit the information centre where you can see indigenous ceramics used to their secondary burials, we will encounter with different kinds of eruptions took place, and their different materials. Continue to City of Managua where we will overnight.
Breakfast. Departure to León Viejo Ruins, town was buried by the continuous expulsion of ash and rock of Momotombo volcano in 1610, we will visit the ruins which have been declared by UNESCO World Heritage Site. We continue to Colonial city of Leon. Lunch at Local Restaurant. We will visit the most beautiful Cathedral of our country, where our great poet Ruben Dario is buried, also declarated by UNESCO World Heritage. Visit Indigenous neighborhoods of Subtiava and the most important touristic sites. We will return to Managua and overnight.
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
