Arrival at the Land of the Pharaohs. Upon completion of immigration & customs formalities at Cairo International Airport, you will be met at the exit by our representative and escorted to your hotel.
Morning flight to Aswan. Upon arrival you will be escorted to your cruise ship where you will spend the next 3 nights / 4 days. Accommodation aboard your cruise ship will consist of outside junior suite cabin with private facilities. You will visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae. Visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek & Haroeries. Then sail to Edfu. Travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the falcon-god, (237 B.C.) considered the best-preserved temple in Ancient Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. Visit the West Bank necropolis including the Valley of the Kings, the Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. Drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city. Enter the Old City and walk through the Armenian and Jewish quarters to the recently excavated and restored Cardo, the Roman road. See the Jewish Wailing Wall, the Kotel, and continue to the Christian Quarter. Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Continue to Bethlehem for an overview of Shepherds' field; Visit the Church of Nativity and Manger's square. Transfer by private car to the Sound & light show at the Tower of David – museum of the history of Jerusalem. 5:00pm return to hotel in Jerusalem * Passports must be taken with on tours to Bethlehem. * Modest attire is required for visiting holy places of any religion (Men with head covering, women with shoulder covering; for both men and women - no shorts). * Comfortable walking shoes are suggested. 08:50-09:50am Morning drive via the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea. 09:50-10:30 am visiting Ahava Cosmetic factory 11:00am-1:30pm visiting Massada, Ascend by cable car and tour the mountain fortress built by King Herod, where the Zealots of the first century made their last stand against the Romans. Visit the remains of the walls, palaces, synagogue, water cisterns, mosaic floors, roman baths and other findings. Descend by cable car. Continue to the Dead Sea. 1:50-5:00pm enjoy the unique opportunity to swim and float on the Dead Sea that many believe has therapeutic effects. On the way back, view the Qumran caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. 6:00pm return to hotel in Jerusalem * Head covering, sun protection lotion, bathing suit and towel are recommended. * Comfortable walking shoes are suggested. * From the arrival of the cable car at Masada to the archaeological site there are 80 steps to climb. 06:00Am-08:30am Enjoy a lovely day watching the outstanding landscape of the lower Galilee. Depart Jerusalem on the Coastal Road and the landscape of the Lower Galilee to Nazareth, the town where Jesus spent his childhood. Visit the Church of Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph. Continue, via Kana, to Tiberias, the lovely resort town. 10:30-12:30pm Drive along the Lake Kinnereth to visit Capernaum and view the ruins of the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught.
