Day 1 - DEPART FROM THE USA

Board your overnight transatlantic flight (cost not included in land only price).

Day 2 - ARRIVE IN MUNICH, GERMANY

Welcome to Munich! This evening, an orientation drive includes views of the Olympic Stadium. Then enjoy a Welcome Reception with your Travel Director. (Welcome Reception)

Day 3 - MUNICH SIGHTSEEING & AT LEISURE

See the Hofbräuhaus, Marienplatz, Ludwigstrasse and the Opera House on a morning drive. Afterwards your time is free. (Breakfast)

Day 4 - MUNICH / NEUSCHWANSTEIN / INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA

In Oberammergau, visit the theater where the Passion Play has been perfomed every decade since 1633. In the Bavarian mountains, visit Neuschwanstein Castle, built in the 19th century for King Ludwig. Then continue to scenic Innsbruck. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 5 - INNSBRUCK SIGHTSEEING & AT LEISURE

A short tour includes views of the Wilten Basilica, the Golden Roof and the Hofburg Palace. The rest of the day is free. (Breakfast)

Day 6 - INNSBRUCK / SALZBURG

Travel through the picturesque Inn Valley to visit Berchtesgaden National Park, with awe-inspiring mountains and a deep glacial lake. Then on to Salzburg. (Breakfast)

Day 7 - SALZBURG SIGHTSEEING & AT LEISURE

See the Getreidegasse, Salzburg Cathedral, Mozart’s birthplace and many of the locations used in the film The Sound of Music with your Local Guide. The afternoon is free. Tonight, attend a You’re Personally Invited Dinner at a Gasthof – a German-style inn. (Breakfast, Personally Invited)

Day 8 - SALZBURG / VIENNA

Start with a visit to the church in Mondsee where the marriage of Captain Von Trapp and Maria was filmed for The Sound of Music. Then traverse the Salzkammergut, a beautiful region of mountains and lakes. See Melk Abbey on your way to Vienna. (Breakfast)

Day 9 - VIENNA SIGHTSEEING & VIENNA WOODS EXCURSION

Your Local Guide reveals the city’s major landmarks and palaces during morning sightseeing. Then take a walking tour through the oldest parts of the city. This afternoon, make a scenic drive to Mayerling in the Vienna Woods to view the hunting lodge where Crown Prince Rudolph and his young mistress tragically died in 1898. (Breakfast)

Day 10 - VIENNA AT LEISURE

Spend the day as you wish. Use your complimentary Hop-On Hop-Off sightseeing ticket to discover more city delights. This evening, join your traveling companions and Travel Director for a Farewell Dinner. (Breakfast, Farewell Dinner)

Day 11 - DEPART VIENNA

You will be transferred to the airport (conditions apply), where your vacation ends. (Breakfast)
