ITINERARY
Day 1 - TUE: DEPART USA

Board your international flight to Cairo and begin your journey back in time to this charming, ancient land.


Day 2 - WED: CAIRO

Arrival at the Land of the Pharaohs. Upon completion of immigration & customs formalities at Cairo International Airport, you will be met at the exit by our representative and escorted to your hotel. Meals: Dinner


Day 3 - THU: CAIRO

After breakfast, a scenic drive will take you to the Pyramids & Sphinx of Giza, which have stood for the last 5000 years. Complete your visit at Giza with a tour of the Solar Boat Museum. After lunch, continue to the ancient city of Memphis, the first capital of United Upper and Lower Egypt, and then visit Sakkara, site of the Step Pyramid of Zoser. On the way back, stop at an Institute of papyrus. Meals: Breakfast - Lunch


Day 4 - FRI: CAIRO - ASWAN - ABU SIMBEL (SOUND & LIGHT SHOW - ABU SIMBEL TEMPLE)

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, welcome by our representative and departure by bus to Abu Simbel, Accommodation and lunch on board your boat on Lake Nasser, the Nubian Sea 5 * comfort. Lunch on board. Visit the Abu Simbel temples. A welcome cocktail will be served. Sound & Light show at Abu Simbel temples followed by a candlelight dinner on board Meals: Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner


Day 5 - SAT: ABU SIMBEL - WADI EL SEBUA

We urge you to get up early to watch the sunrise over the temples. Breakfast. Head of navigation. You will see KasrIbrim, all that remains unmoved, of which only the ruins of an ancient fortress marked borrowed from the Egyptians, Romans, Copts. Lunch on board and sail to Wadi El Seboua. Visit the temples of Amada ,Deir and the Tomb of Peinout. Amada: the temple of Amada is one of the oldest in Nubia. Started by Thutmose III and completed under Amenhotep II. Only 3000 years later that the temple was raised, but unlike the temples "saved" water, it was moved to a single block. The Temple of Derr: built by Ramses II, this temple is dedicated to Amun-Re. The reliefs cover the walls above all a campaign of Pharaoh against his enemies in Nubia and Syria. Peinout's tomb: the tomb belonged to a small official, chief administrator in the reign of Ramses VI. The main theme of the tomb is the daily life and activities of the deceased. Dinner and overnight on board. Meals: Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner


Day 6 - SUN: WADI EL SEBUA - ASWAN

Morning Visit the temples of Wadi El Seboua of Dakka and the Temple of Meharakka. Seboua El Wadi (Valley of Lions): it takes its name from the avenue of sphinxes leading to it, dedicated to the gods Amun and Re-Horakhty. Vast complex of two temples and chapels. Dakka: This temple has remarkable performances murals and bas reliefs. Lunch and sailing to Aswan, passing the Tropic of Cancer. Dinner and overnight on board. Meals: Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner


Day 7 - MON: ASWAN (SOUND & LIGHT SHOW - PHILAE TEMPLE)

Visit the Kalabsha temple, Beit El Wali and the Kiosk of Kertassi. Disembarkation after breakfast. Transfer to Aswan hotel for overnight. Late afternoon visit to the museum of Nubia. Meals: Breakfast


Day 8 - TUE: ASWAN

Crossing the Nile to explore the tombs of the governors and dignitaries of Elephantine. The tombs of the Governors: The graves of Governors, dignitaries and princes of Elephantine of the Old Kingdom tombs are carved into the mountainside, on the left bank of the Nile. Although degraded, they are a rare example of the art of the first interim period. Free afternoon during which you can explore the Spice Souk individually colorful. In the evening, Sound and Light show at the Temple of Philae. Overnight at the hotel. Meals: Breakfast


Day 9 - WED: ASWAN, KOM OMBO, EDFU

After breakfast, you will be escorted to your Nile cruise ship where you will spend the next 3 nights / 4 days. Accommodation aboard your cruise ship will consist of outside junior suite cabin with private facilities. You will visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae. Sail on board a Felucca, a traditional Egyptian sailboat and view of Kitchner's Island botanical garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum (Entrance is not permitted). After lunch, sail to Kom Ombo where you will visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek & Haroeries. Then sail to Edfu and overnight. Meals: Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner


Day 10 - THU: EDFU, LUXOR

Travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the falcon-god, (237 B.C.) considered the best-preserved temple in Ancient Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. Sail to Esna, passing through the Esna Lock, and continue sailing towards Luxor and overnight. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner


Day 11 - FRI: LUXOR (OPTIONAL SOUND & LIGHT SHOW - KARNAK TEMPLE)

Visit the West Bank necropolis including the Valley of the Kings, the Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. In the evening, optional Sound & Light Show at the Karnak Temple, overnight in Luxor. Meals: Breakfast - Lunch -Dinner


Day 12 - SAT: LUXOR, CAIRO (OPTIONAL SOUND & LIGHT SHOW - KARNAK TEMPLE)

After breakfast, visit Karnak and Luxor Temples, a centuries-old city of pylons, hypostyle halls, colossal statues, shrines and obelisks. Disembarkation and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo you will be met and escorted to a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum where you will find artifacts of the Pharaonic era and the treasures of King Tutankhamen's tomb. Drive to Old Cairo, where early Judaism and Christianity flourished in Egypt. Visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue and Saint Sergius Church. After lunch, drive to the Citadel of Saladin and visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. Enjoy a walking tour of the largest 13th century covered oriental market, Khan El Khalili Bazaar, overnight at hotel. Meals: Breakfast - Lunch


Day 13 - SUN: DEPARTURE

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your departure flight. Meals: Breakfast
